Let's Learn: Adobe Illustrator for digital illustration and vector art

Adobe Illustrator is an industry standard software used to create vector-based graphics such as logos, illustrations and signage. These vector-based graphics have wide ranging applications, from websites and social media through to merchandise and brand design.

This 90-minute course is perfect for beginners to Illustrator and those who already understand the program but are looking for a new approach or to learn about newly released features. Working alongside a professional graphic designer you will learn how to :

Navigate and customize the Adobe Illustrator interface

Create a vector image using a variety of techniques

Save your vector illustrations as Symbols to reuse and remix them into unique patterns

Apply your newly created image to a variety of marketing formats using the AI “Mock-up” panel.

Learn how to create a 3D image.

Learn how to save an image for screen and print outputs.

UTS computers with Adobe software installed will be available for use. However, if you already have access to Adobe Creative Cloud, we encourage you to bring your own device. More information about accessing Adobe CC with a student discount can be found here.
