About Open Educational Resources (OER)
Open educational resources (OER) offer many benefits for teaching and learning in higher education. These include helping academics to improve the quality of existing subjects, reducing costs of teaching materials, and widening access to education. However, challenges still occupy the OER domain where academics flagged that they usually struggle with finding the correct content or that the existing resources are not adaptable due to licensing restrictions (e.g. CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) or don’t fit their instructional strategies.
